Start the bike in gear

Hi.
How come it is impossible to start the bike when in gear ?
Finding the neutral is a struggle from time to time.
Is it possible to bypass this ?

Mine will start in gear with the clutch pulled in, your clutch switch may not be working

Make sure side stand is up.

Yes it was the first thing i checked that the stand was up.
If the bike isn't in neutral nothing happends when trying to start the bike. Not a "click". Nothing. The oil lamp just turns red. Strange thing. I thought it might be some sort of protection.

Clean the clutch switch near underside of clutch master cylinder....should be two wires.

my plunger was sticky. make sure it doesn't stay down.

A bit easier to find the neutral by switching from 2nd, only a butterfly touch...
