Searched all threads I could find here but none had any info on size of notch etc.:ummm:
So, before I start measuring, cutting etc can anyone offer some guidelines as to how deep you can notch into the stock arm ?
How much clearance is needed to the shaft ?
I've got 2 good mates ready to do the job but in their words...'if I'm gonnaweld it, I'm gonna cut it'

Thanks in advance.....:biglaugh:

I really can't tell you how deep they trim when they to the notching. I got mine from Cycle One Off, Sean does them too.

Whatever you do, don't leave the drive shaft exposed like this guy did.

.

We use a bike frame as a mockup when doing the notch. We cut the original notch, wrap the driveshaft with thinwall pex tubing (about .050") and then clamp the chunk or cut out notch to it. Then reweld it back in place. You won't gain a ton of room but it does add some for your bigger tires.
