I suffered in line for 2 hours at the title bureau this morning to get my plates and title ordered. I am now the proud owned of MAADMX plates (well, in 3 weeks I will be) :eusa_dance:

Went to Kentucky and drug home this 85 and a bunch of parts. I will give her the love she needs she will be a nice bike again soon.

That's the one previously-discussed? So we already know the last 4 of the VIN?

Washed the 07, and 86. Got the rear tire mounted on the 07, and put on a speedo cable for the 86. Also new battery on the 07.

Thats a whole lotta eye candy. Love that wheel.

Thanks.....I really need to do a pic of them side by side.

The upside to having multiple bike.....is that if one bike is down, you can always ride the other. The downside is your doing a lot more work. I have another 86 that was someone else's project that they got bored with, and I need to get it up and together as well.

Attempted a blast up to town for errands......ended up farting out not even a mile down the road and limped home. ARRAARRGGHHHH!! I put fresh gas and played with the idle air screws and kept at it but something was bogging the max down. I put it away thinking to do a peashooter but took it out again and while revving it up something seemed to unplug and the throttle response and all the power came back. Sometimes this bike likes to play head games.

Have you tried doing a shotgun? With a peashooter, you are dribbling in carb cleaner HOPING that it will clear a clog. A shotgun will blast out the clogs. You can also take out PAJ#2 to get a full blast of air......plus while everything is apart, you can look at the slides....diaphragms...etc, to see if there are any issues.

You might have had a little carbon buildup on the plugs that cleaned up when you revved it. Especially if you were starting it up and shutting it down without riding it or fully warming it up.

Took a nice ride in tbis 77 degree weather.

Meanwhile in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we have had a good winter of snow since it looks like Lake Superior is not going to freeze over; which means a lot of lake effect snow falling along windward side of the lake. To date the snow fall totals in the U.P.: most - 236"(19.6') and locally is around 160" (13.3'). Here are some pictures of local activities:

Swapped the handlebars to a set of Sean's black superbike bars, and also changed the brake strut bar to a billet one, to give me some more room on the right side (also from Sean).

Took off my OEM backrest and mounted a Virago grab bar. I don't ride a passenger so I can get by without it. I likr this better than the small grab bar for the Vmax.

Rode my new (to me) 02 Vmax for the first time.
My friend bought it down in his van as he is going racing. I rode it 2hrs home. I was good cause my wife was driving behind me!

I love the Over mufflers. It has Hagon Nitro shocks and progressive front springs.
It isnt cosmetically perfect but Im over worrying about that. Ill polish some alloy - good excuse to buy a bench grinder and corded drill. I have the mops and tripoli bar already.
The left fork seal is leaking (lots - onto the caliper) so I need to do that.
It has a vboost controller set to open at 3k. There wasnt the kick in the pant I was expecting but it is very strong everywhere. Ill change it to 6k as see what I prefer.

Anyway, I have a Vmax finally.
