Oh boy, this goes back...........I was about 16 and my dad bought me a Barnett, some kind of British bike. Think it was maybe a 250. It was completely torn apart and in several different boxes. Cost $25! My mother had a fit and was bitching at my dad, "Phil, he'll kill himself on a motorcycle!"
My dad said, "Don't worry Rita, he'll never get it running."
Next day I was tearing up & down the driveway. All my dad could say was "Jesus Rita, I never thought he could do it!"
My favorite bike is, of course, my '99 v max but before that it prolly was an '85 Maxim XJ700X 5-valve. Sweet little machine, quick, nimble, smooth and it got about 55 mpg! Never understand why Yam only made them for 2 years, 85-86. :ummm:

Fifth: 1991 HD Sturgis.
Sixth: 2004 Suzuki Bandit 1200.
I could go on as there were many I really liked.....

My first was a 1981 XR 80
My first street was a 1985 V65 Magna.

My first bike was a '74 Honda CB360T, with a shiny green seat and a giant sissy bar, this would have been in '87 I believe.
My Favorite over time would be a dead nuts toss-up between the FJ1100, and the '83 Zook GS1150E. Both were nearly perfect "everything" bikes. Tall, fast, comfy, lots of lean room....sport or commute or tour.
Honorable mention, or the bike with the most character, goes to a '71 Honda CB500/4 I had for a while. It had no third gear, and wept oil around the crankcase so badly that I kept a rag between the dials and only wore black jeans, because my left shin would turn that color anyway. All the same, I rode that sucker from CA to TX and back without any failure, which is more than I can say for the Seca II I had years later.... what a soulless lop of shit that was.

3rd - '82? 850cc Yamaha (triple cyl, cant remember model)
4th - '98 200cc Kawasaki KX
5th - '02 VMax (Without a doubt my favorite but that damn minibike was a hoot!)
I have contemplated getting a Gen1 Busa and installing a stage 1 turbo on it. I would love to have it sitting next to my Max in the basement!

First bike I learned on was my moms 81 Yamaha 650 Maxim. My first bike I bought was an 83 Yamaha 650 Seca Turbo which I still have! It's probably one of my funnest bikes becuase with all the mods it was as fast as the Vmax but crappy brakes and suspension makes it feel really fast.

First bike was a 198? JR-50 with a custom paintjob that got replaced by a PW-50 that i crashed at the track and I barely got out of the way before a guy came over that table top that i crashed on and landed on it with his banshee!
Scariest bike- 1982 YZ490 70hp of aircooled dirtbike with shitty suspension and barely any brakes.
First street bike I ever rode was my dad's GS850L when i was 9 years old. He had me out in the front yard teaching me how to launch it and my stepmom was none too happy at the fact that i left streaks in the grass lol.
My "FIRST" and favorite street bike is my ZX14, but I've always had a thing for V-max's and since I first rode one when i was 16 years old and when i get my 1990 running it just might take the honors!
