I pulled mine out in the first few months after getting my 06. Has anybody ever tested the Y on a dyno or drag strip to see if it makes a difference pulling it out? I never did put it back in. I hate to be costing myself some HP. I removed it after reading a article on vmax outlaw airbox...

Have an 04 Vmax. Was installing the K&N air filter. When I had the stock filter out, I noticed a small, thin layer of gas in the front left of the air box when sitting on bike (so closest to clutch level versus throttle). Is that ok? If not, what could be the cause and is this something I need...

Have Stage I kit w/K&N air filter and Kerker slip ons. Any advantage to taking top "Y" of air box off? If this is done, how do you secure air filter to continues to be effective?:confused2:
