On the stock airbox there appears to be two hose nipples on the bottom. The rear is larger than the front and the front has a small round foam filter inside where the air filter plugs into. On my bike the rear has a hose that attaches but the front did not. Am I missing a hose or is there no hose attached there? I looked in the shop manual and the parts book but couldn't find one. Also, what is the purpose of the two openings?

Thanks for any assistance....

Rear is for crankcase ventilation. Front is a drain in case water gets in there. No hose goes to the front nipple.

Thank you very much. Couldn't figure out what happened to mine.... Now I know. NOTHING :- )

That is the hose that is a real bitch to get back on after removing the factory airbox.PITA!

Trick is to move the coolant resevoir out of the way. Then, pretty easy.

Those funky looking 90 degree needle nose can help also once you move the overflow bottle out of the way.
