I bought out part of an estate and have lots of braided cables throttle,brake clutch etc not max stuff so if you have friends looking for stuff for other bikes let me know and i will see if i have it. It will be cheaper than retail.

What the heck are the cables coming from the carbs to the slide box thing called? I need both sets and can't find them anywhere.

I'm considering putting Triumph T120 US bars on my '98 Max, but think the throttle cables might be the limiting factor. Then it occurred to me that 1200 Venture cables must be longer than the standard Max ones. Does anyone now how much longer they are? Thanks

Let's face reality here, the VMAX is not exactly good at turning. And the bars are so close together that they just don't feel right. Are there any bars available that are wider but don't require me to change cables and hoses?:ummm:

I need to replace my throttle cables (push & pull). I can find a new OEM set for about less than $30 in Ebay. Is there any advantage to go for aftermarket cables? Thanks.

How is the cable lubed? Do I take it out of the throttle tube housing OR do I have to take it off the carb OR can I take each cable out of that black box in the middle and lube each end?
