Hi, I was switching pulling my carbs to change rubbers and shim my needles, while doing this i managed to cross thread the 10mm bolt that holds the fuelpump. It's now stuck and when i'm trying to remove it, it's only spinning around. I tried lots of WD-40 and "CRC penetrating Oil + MoS"...

Anyone know the size of the pilot jet screw? I need to clean out some threads and don't have a clue what size tap I need to buy to re-thread the pilot jet screw hole. Thanks, Bill USN Retired

Does anyone know the size of the threads on the pilot jet screw? I had to "easy out" one on a bike I bought and the threads seem to be buggered up a little as the replacement needle jet does not screw in as far as it should. I would like to buy a tap and clean the threads out but I am not sure...

I have a 2003 VMAX. When I cleaned the carbs I noticed that all 4 idle screws were in all the way. The Service manual says "they are preset". What is the initial setting for them before fine tuning?

I thought I read once a post or a thread, but I can't, for the life of me, find it. I know if you tighten the mixture screws down until lightly sitted, the bike should start stumbling. What would it mean if none of my mixture screws have this effect and how do you fix it?
