anyone try a micro machine vboost control unit. Is it better than stock. new OEM control unit is salty

So I like the vboost stock when cruising and conserving fuel. I enjoy my t-boost switch to activate it at 3000rpm instead of stock ~6000rpm sometimes also, But I REALLY like the always open option- unplugging the connector when the servo motor is at the right position so vboost is deactivated...

There seems to be some pretty good evidence that running COP's without resistors on the earlier model VMax's can result in a change in the boost opening rpm from 6K ± to around 7500. I and a couple others have noticed this....anyone else?

Hey, Does anyone know what signal the OEM coil puts out for the vboost controller? It's on the grey wire. I've checked it out on the diagrams but don't know what the actual signal is. I'm assuming its a square +12v pulse but not sure. Also interested if it's 1ppr or different? Cheers
