does anyone know where i can get the chrome button plugs to cover the allen bolt heads? comming up at a loss. the part # is floating around but the stealership plugs it in and says its discontinued.

Mike Sayers has 5mm and 6mm plugs for allen heads. Go to http://www.mikesayers.com/vmax/screws.htm
5mm go into allen heads on brake/ clutch clamps on handlebars while the 6mm fit into fork clamps allen heads and other locations too.(at least on my '92). You'll need more of the 6mm than the 5mm.

walk into any harley davidson dealer and there hanging on the racks , box's of 10 , every size and made in japan . .. I did my whole engine with them ! THEY GIVE AN AMERICAN SIZE ON THE BOX , BUT THEY FIT , YOU WILL NEED TO BUY A BOX OF EACH SIZE , SO YOU KNOW WHAT SIZES YOU NEED & HOW MANY !
