Here is a picture with the machining dimensions required to make an Ultima Inverted Harley type front end fit the Max.
The stem supplied with the front end needs to be re machined as follows in the pic.

As you previously stated, pretty straight forward mod to get the harley inverted installed on the max.

What about axle size on the Ultima forks? Can you still use the stock wheels? Do you lose the speedo?
 
Getting ready to do a kit on a local bike. At work and can't remember the fork length? Anyone at home (or with a bike at work) that can go measure the axle to end of tube length? Also, wonder what the upper bearing number was with the seal on it?

Sean, I can measure it for for you. Do you mean the full length of the forks? Or from the axle to the top of the lower slider:confused2:
 
Axle to the top of the triple (or if the fork sticks past the top of the tube).
