So I need new slides, old are so full of scratches that it can't be good! But is there any place to get them a little cheaper than Yamaha dealer? Also wondering of full carbs rebuild, maybe should take the whole set to a dealer..
But what you guys think, should I install some jet kit like stage 1 at the same time? I have stock engine, only kerker slip-ons. Just want a smooth running engine.

You won't need to rejet with slip-ons. Get in touch with Danny (dannymax), Sean (one2dmax), or kyle (captain kyle) about a rebuild. There are others of us who could do them for you for way less than a dealer is going to charge, but those guys have parts on hand and know how to get stuff set up just right.

I don't ever sweat the slides with scratches in them as long as the rubber is in good condition and move freely.

Agreed, most of them have scratches, just a clean up of the bores so they pass the 'clunk test' and you'll be fine. Also what Dave said about jetting, not needed with stock headers, and not even recommended.

Best to stay away from the stealerships when you can. There was one member that posted having his carbs cleaned and just a basic rebuild is $800 bucks at a stealership. Should they find one or possibly 2 or more of his diaphrams bad, his bill would soar out of site.

Avoid the Stage 1 carb kit. It doesn't do much IF you can make it work correctly. Stay stock or , if the monkey bites , get a Morleys Muscle Kit or a Stage 7 Kit . You would need a full exhaust system to take advantage of the Kit.

Thank you guys of replys, I check diaphragms tomorrow and try to clean carbs as much as I can, then change fuel filter and hope it runs better.. I live in Finland, so it gets pretty expensive to send carbs in US and back so some local, small dealer could get the job done.
If I buy 4 of this

and take them with the carbs to some specialist, could he then rebuild my carbs? Is there everything needed?

If you can't get OEM parts, the K&L kits are OK. AVOID the Keyster kits period!!!! I always get OEM parts though. Just not worth the trouble to redo with shoddy parts.

Screw the rebuild kits, if ya wanna make real power, get yourself four of these and just bolt'em on!

Your inlet manifold tubes will resemble flaccid members, the better to develop real "ram-air" effect! Be sure to port-match the head and the droopy-tubes! :rofl_200:

I have used aftermarket stuff for carb rebuilds, but the stock stuff seems to work the best, from what postings on-here say. My mechanic also says, 'use stock!'

Slides and diaphragms were OK, I used carb cleaner and then synced carbs, but no difference. Bike runs like fuel is running out, like when you dont notice fuel light until bike starts to stall. It works ok if I use very little throttle, but if I turn throttle like normal, then it stalls a little, pulls, stalls, pulls... WTF hit my max? Fuel pump? Spark plugs has about 1000 miles on them..

There is a guy on ebay selling all four K&L kits for $85.
Whoever posted the Amal carb, boy that's an old one! Late fifties?
