This Kawi Zrx1200r is on my list of fav Retro bikes too and so is the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic ( I used to ride the 350cc version) , My 1983 Yamaha RD350 2 stroke. And for some reason don't ask why I do actually like the Suzuki B_King too :ummm:

I had a 701/2 Trans Am Ram air IV "royal bobcat" Blue, white stripe, saddle inside. Mine was a 4 speed with a 3.90 posi rear. Right after I bought it, my girlfriend and I (who later became my wife) drove to Florida. I wanted an oil change when I got down there, so I took it to the local Pontiac dealer. It drew quite a crowd. The owner loaned me a boniville convertible to use, and did the oil change (and a great "detail job") when I agreed to let him put it on display in his showroom for the 10 days I was down there. I checked with 4 dealers trying to get them to order a Ram air IV, and only Royal Pontiac (Royal Oak, MI) could find the "special numbers" for the Ram Air IV. Had that car right up until my Wife divorced me in 1999.

I bought mine in 1980 from my brother who found it in 1976 through a want add he placed in the back of Hot Rod Magazine. He flew up to Indiana and bought it from a Pontiac dealer who put several thousand miles on it for personal use but had never registered it. Damn what good memories.
I didn't even know how rare the RA IV was until many years later. I was just a dumb shit high school kid who had no business with it in the first place.

What if Yamaha put a vmax engine into a Maxim frame,,,,
I had a ZRX 1300....had to sell it....fun though

It took 6 years for the new CB1100F to go from concept to the US market. Better late than never, I guess, but I hope the CB1100R gets here, too.
