Pipe Schedule refers to the pipe’s wall thickness but that thickness is also dependent on the size of the pipe.
PVC Schedule 40 in ½” will not have the same wall thickness as PVC Schedule 40 in 6”
1 1/2" PVC Schedule 40 will have a wall thickness of 0.31 inch
1 1/2" PVC Schedule 80 will have a wall thickness of 0.42 inch

I rechecked and it says it is 1-1/2" schedule 40 type 1. I measured using my caliper and the wall is .158" thick and the ID of the pvc tube is 1.60". The tube is 43mm which is approximately 1.7". No biggie, my seals aren't leaking so will just have to get the right piece of PVC.

I used 2" pvc and some kind of adapter on my 43mm forks. Just can't remember exactly what parts I used. Easy for me since we do lots of underground conduit work

I found photos on my computer of the parts I used.

1.5" SCH40 PVC coupling sliced so it would fit over the forks.
2" SCH40 PVC coupling and a piece of 2" SCH40 pipe.

I taped the 1.5" coupling so it fit snugly inside the 2" coupling and drove the seals in that way. Worked quite well.

Not saying this is the best solution but I had this stuff laying around at work.

I made speedometer cup out of some 3" PVC pipe and a cap. More work scrap
