This guy say he has "quite a bit of experience with the Vmax" and he is Yamaha certified, so I think I will try him out.

i'd ask him a few simple questions if he really is familiar with the vmax.

such as, have you ever had to get rid of a wobble. or asking if he has to remove the fuel tank to synch the carbs?

Well duh, yeah you do cause the tanks sits right on top of em. all the "certified" mechanics know that, LOL!

Good luck.... Its tough to find a good mechanic. What kind of problems are you having?
 
Paul Pieroli form Skyway works on tons of older metrics, he did a great job on my 81' CB900F, and I'm sure he can handle your Max- or mine for that matter.
