Starter Motor Brush Plate

Is there any other bike starter motor brush plate that can replace that of a 86 Max?:bang head:

One from the same manufacturer with the same number of brushes. The later ones have 4 brushes, and the starter could have been replaced with a different brand, so it would be by visual inspection.
I think early 1100 Virago is most likely.

My Max has a Mitsubishi 2 brush starter motor if that is of any help. Would the Virago's possibly be the same?

I was going to suggest a newer type 4 brush starter? Anyone buy Ricks products? I haven't had a starter prob. yet but will upgrade if I do.

The 1999-2010 Yamaha Royale Star Ventures (RSV) are a 4 brush direct replacement.

The 83-93 Ventures are a 2 brush direct replacement.
