I agree on the turbo tax. It was screwing me to death. Hiring a professional has been worth way more than the expense.
It was ok for single filing with no deductions, short form stuff;
But when needing to itemize after married, kids college etc. it asks you questions no one but a pro knows the terminology on.
In that case turbo tax is just a extra set of helping hands holding your ass open for the IRS.
It was so obvious that I paid them to go back and amend as far as I could go to recover the money turbo tax cost me.
