In 1974, me and my older brother received Hodaka's for Christmas. Dont know what year they were. But my brother got a Super Rat and I got a Ace 90 Steens Special with the funky front forks. I was just 7 yrs old and my maiden voyage was hitting a big ass oak tree at about 20 mph:bang head: The old man sold the Hodaka and bought me a 1971 Honda SL70. Although this pic is not of mine "great restore job btw" I still have the SL70 and it still starts and goes:clapping:

Love of my life bike is my '85 Max.

started out riding my uncles mini bike (5hp) somewhere around age 6. First motorcycle of mine around 9 years old. Early 80's yz 80. $50 bucks and didn't run. Gave it back to the guy who sold it to me within 24hrs. Got some kind of street bike just after that for $50. Early to mid 60's, 60cc, 2 stroke-oil injected. Rode it on dirt, on the road, wherever. Topped out at 60mph according to the speedo. Then a new new yz 80. Jumped from a yz 80 to a cr500. Still have the 500 (in pcs.) Then got a hold of my dads old 78 suzuki gs 550 off my uncle. Still have that one too (in pcs). Most recently, the max. It's a toss up between the cr500 and the max for favorite. Depends on what kind of mood your in. Cool thing about the CR was getting it out on the road and getting the front end up in 1st gear and keeping it there till 5th, never touch the pavement till almost wound out in 5th. Don't know how fast that thing goes but it sure feels like your flying for it being a dirt bike.

My first bike was a 1948 Harley 74 with a springer frontend and a sideshift and foot clutch. I got her when I was 16. I traded a horse for it. I had to work on the dang thing at least as much or more than I rode it. Some days it would start and some days it wouldn't. Had three minor accidents on it including one that sent a german shepard to heaven. Sold the dang thing in the mid sixties for 50 bucks.

First street bike, and still my favorite: 1976 Yamaha rd400 with bassani expansion chambers and bored 30 over. My dad got it for me for my 15th b-day...wish I still had it.

My first bike (apart from Honda ss 50) was a 1984 Yamaha TR-1, then a 1987 Vmax, 2004 Suzuki Marauder 800, 2006 Suzuki M109R and finally 2005 Vmax.
