hi all,

I just wondered, having seen the mods here, what the deal is with fitting R1 rotors and calipers to an '86 V-Max?

Can the rotors and calipers come from any year R1? Or only specific models?

Are both a direct bolt-on, or are adapters needed?

Thanks

I know for sure that adaptors are needed for this upgrade on an 86 max.
And you will have a hard time finding the adaptors, the only place i could find them is in the U.k. at www.customvmaxservices.com

Not sure if there are certain years that won't work, but i know they will work from a 2000 R1. That's what i used for my upgrade.

Someone else might know for sure...

Actually you might want to look into the busa calipers.
Sean has the adaptors and they are a lot cheaper than the R1's,
and the busa calipers have better braking. if i was to do it again that's the route i would go...
