Nice video....and nice post too...

Giving a thumbs up of respect to a contender that you know can surprise you and knock you down if you aren't at your best is nice coming from a ZX14 owner...Thanks

I like the ZX14 in Solid no nonsense colors, have ridden one and could see owning one.....

I was going to ask if you filmed that vid out in West Texas, looked like where I grew up, till I saw New Mexico...I love that kind of landscape.......Miss it

We live in the Phoenix Area. The film was taken in Mexico (wink, wink). I would never do a 40mph - 160mph in the US. I would never break the law for a stupid video. :eusa_dance:

They have motorcycles in Alaska?? LOL I guess, you ride between snow storms. :merrychristmas:

LMAO :rofl_200:

There's a few up here. Just found out that the local auto museum (http://www.fountainheadmuseum.com/index.cfm) is starting to show a few too.

I'm going to have to go and take a look. I love that museum anyway, this will be just another excuse to go back.

They built them pretty tough back in the early 1900's

Lol, I like the ski "outriggers". Welcome to VMF, Fastyz400!....you seem to fit right in here....maybe time to sell the zx14 for vmax? Kidding! :)

I may consider an addition. I really like the way the vmax commands attention. It's a beautiful bike. Minus the ski outriggers. Lol

Only in Alaska do the thermometers go to -100....

The ones around here go to -20. Negative temps are rare but not unheard of. Still...-10 is really, really cold around here.

You could probably cut glass with the nipples in that photo. :rofl_200:

Great video! Mr. Max gets spanked as I expected... I mean the G2 VMax is a great bike as a show of BRUTE power.. The VMax 17 just does not have a well thought out balance between power, weight, and control. Reminds me of some muscle cars all muscle and no brain.... The sitting position, engine displacement, rake, and weight just does not play well together... I feel that Yamaha could have done a much better job sticking with the 1200 power plant and pouring all their money and R&D on improving he G1 design and power delivery....

Amaury

Of course the VMax is really a "Cruiser" style bike (albeit a very fast one) and was never designed to compete with the likes of the Busa or ZX14. That was never in the engineers minds while designing it.
That being said it fares pretty well against those purpose built bikes IMO. Not to many other bikes would even stay in the video frame when running with a 14!

Interesting first post. Welcome to the collective :clapping:

I imagine it will wind up on Starvmax's site pretty quick, They are all about the GenII over there.
I hate seeing riding videos :bang head: especially when its -45 and snow on the ground. :biglaugh: Oh well, 3 more months til riding time.
Till then keep posting them and I'll keep watching them. I wonder if I put a fan on , crank up the volume and scoot a little closer to my monitor, if that would help the withdrawls:ummm:

Try playing "Road Rash".........that's what helps me get thru it.......that and spending time in the garage with "The Monkey" :rofl_200:

The more I see that new VMAX in action, the more I like it! Sunny and 72 today in Dallas, shoot, I may even ride into work!

Will be in the 70's all week here in Phoenix. :punk:

This thing is just a monster, 216 on pump gas. Refined enough to take it out and play, once you get to the track run your 8's , then hit the streets and go play some more. :punk:
