99 Venture Rear end

Hey Guys
I have the chance to pick up a 99 venture rear end and the shaft for a steal, just wondering if it will fit on my 86 and if the pumpkins dont match can I just swap the ring and pinon.

I would talk to Sean Morely.He's the overdrive man. I personally want to underdrive mine more.

Thanks for the reply, I sent him a PM
I think I am trying to underdrive mine, isnt that what the swap does for us. Give us lower RPMs. I use my bike as a daily commuter and would like to get a bit better gas mileage.
