To be honest I really haven't thought about it. I live day to day lifes to short to worry about months or years from now I guess..

Clinton was half right in his convention speech. No president could possibly salvage the economy in only 4 years. But what he didn't say is a president could certainly make it much worse, as evidenced by Obama's 4 years of ineptitude.

Country boy can survive says it all. Hunt ,fish, plant,plenty of fresh water here. When I run out of ammo, I will use my bow. Might lose some weight but basic survival is a non issue. You don't need much to live. Barter system will become real popular.

We are all pretty spoiled right know. The interesting thing is the majority of the world already lives like were talking about going back too.

Not at all, The things I enjoy now would be replaced with hunting, gathering, and maintaining the home front. Also, having the largest fresh water source in world 1/2 mile from my door would come in handy!!!
It will not come to this for a long time, probably not in my lifetime but I'm sure we'll be sayin' "those were the days" a whole lot more!:bang head:
EDIT: to update natural resources that are found locally: Leeks, mushrooms, wild rice, berries, fruit trees, fish, maple syurp, acorns, wildlife(deer, rabbits, water fowl, game birds to name a few), local knowledge of game habits, lay of the land, and the ability to harvest/ preserve and store what's harvested. Plus, one of the area's biggest advantages is "The Upper Peninsula contains 29% of the land area of Michigan but just 3% of its total population" .

Its going to happen sooner then you might think it will and when it does, those that they were prepared will be in for a big shock on how unprepared they were.
The bottom line is and will be forever, is you will have to do what you have to do to survive. And if that means defending your little fortress by deadly force, then you best be prepared to do so.
Those that are hoarding gold, bottled water etc. are in for a big shock when shit hits the fan as well. Because it wont be worth anything. The knowledge on how to survive and the few tools you can carry on your back to let you survive for atleast 6 months are the people who will make it.
If you live in any big city, your screwed, if you live within 50 miles of a big city , your screwed.
Michigan is a good place with all the fresh water around.
But anyways, my thoughts are probably known with what I mentioned here. I could go on on and , but you get the idea.

That will be where a civil war starts along with marshall law.It will be a war where we will have to stand together.I dont know if we will ever have the world again like it was when it was free.Me i have a well starting to try and stockpile can food, solar energy sounds great .We are a little under 3 years from paying our lil 1 acre off.We all do the best we can.I feel it's getting close,too close to ignor.Dont want to run around like chicken little saying the sky is falling.Dont want to be left hi and dry either.Got a gun,have a wood heater,looking for a freezer.Make them pay.I would love too.Right now we look like fish in a barrel.They are prepared for that fema camps.they are prepping so should we.Good luck everyone.Hope im wrong.It walks like a duck squaks like a duck,ITS A DUCK!

If Bo loses this election , and he challenges the outcome with his community organizers and army of lawyers shouting and filing lawsuits claiming voter fraud , it could turn ugly very quickly. Riots by the losers could ultimately bring in the U.N. and " peacekeepers " under his marshal law declaration. Guns would be outlawed and only the gov't would have authorization to have 'em . Very similar to Nazi Germany in the late 30s & early 40s. Keep your ducks in a row my brothers.

Actually, I have the whole Alphabet..:rofl_200:My Mom taught me about the future world that was coming over 50 years ago...
I've been preparing for a long, long time. Uncontaminated water is of the highest concern. I've organized a Medical Dr, a Dentist and an Eye Specialist and many of others with various skills. We live in a huge city so we're screwed for a while but have plans in place to get out of Dodge. Between all of us we have enough ammunition and fire power to fight a World Class War. Food reserves for over a year at multiple locations and multiple possible locations to stop over and stay for a while on our way to wherever. Likely North Western States that have prepared for such an event. Yes we have people living and preparing to take us in. Beyond that, it's Classified, Seriously. We all will be together to take care of each other, PERIOD. Outsiders, BEWARE. Hard, Cold and Survivers... Yes...
BTW: The Gentleman who started this thread is highly regarded as a Friend and Brother... He understands what I'm saying....:clapping:

Dave is all over it:clapping:. I dont have all that u have but the same plan. I only have a dentist and a nurse. and i will be travling alot lighter than you. I have 4 different hunker down spots set up and a few food and supply spots in route in the works as we speak. I have water purifier's and a water blader. freeze dry food and lots of dnr trail maps. I will try to stay in michigan i wont leave the the great lakes. Im working on getting light hand tools like drill and saw for building. I want to travel as light as possible. I feel when it gets out of hand and your job lays you off its time to get out of dodge. I also feel if you lay low for 60 days and dont communicate with any stranger's you wont need to worry about the law. The law will step in at the right time and take over. at that time i can start over. I hope it dont get this ugly but it vary well could. For now i will enjoy my family my job and life. For me life is still great and im having as much fun as i can while i can.....Mike

I would say look out for new gun control laws,Along with checkpoints On the roadside.That will be happening After the new taxes,carbon obama care ect.Just before marshall law and curfues.Dave has been trained thru the miltary and does see conditions as they unfold.Ive lived in the mountains of wnc most all my life.And know where a few caves are,And a lil preping is a good thing.And as far as my friend and brother dave goes Im very glad he's on my side.Dont screw with speical operations youll wake up dead in the morning.
