Electrical Question

I'm running an auxilary system on my 1990 VMax with Sidecar and I need to know How the DC rectifier/ regulator works. What I need to know is at what specific voltage does it call for charging mode?
Also, How durable are the AC Stators/ DC rectifier regulators on these bikes?
Do they burn up easily if they are overworked, or does the battery just get drained without any ill effect to these major components?

I can't answer much of this but I can tell you the 90 rectifiers aren't all that great. Get a newer finned version or an R1 upgrade. The stator can be upgraded with a Venture unit too to get a little more power out.

Actually, do you know what the power spec difference is between vmax and Venture stators?

250 vs 300 watts if I remember correctly
