Exhause cat change question

Ive a standard 1700 vmax and thinking of removing the cat and using the Akrapovic replacement pipes and stock exhausts

Years ago I thought that mod would add / de restrict it and it we outgrew go from 200 ho to 300hp but I can’t find anything about it now.

What are people’s thoughts on doing this mid or anything else that increases the power ?

Stock power output is 168-172 rwhp. Slip-ons/Cat Delete will get you into the 180's. A full header (only Hindle) will get you into the 190's. Some dyno's are happier then others which can sometimes get you into the 200's but that's a rare occurrence.
