My '86 Vmax arrived today. Now the proud owner of two Vmax's woohoo!

Only one of them has no 2nd gear...

The '86 so far:
- dead battery, tried charging, nada. :damn angry:
- all four float chamber hoses have been cut off at the exit nipples :ummm:
- all four fuel vent hoses are missing :bang head:
- there are some dodgy electrics in there, why would there be a 'delay' relay in the brake light circuit!?

But, it did start and I managed to ride it home. It runs pretty good still. Tomorrow I'm going to have it looked at to get an 'engineer's report' ($300) so I can have it examined (another $65) so I can register and license it (prolly 3-400 bucks more).

Ah the joys of importing.. :confused2:

Yea it didn't take too long this time - I actually had the shipping delayed because I was away!

Now I'm looking for those four rubber drain hoses (from float chambers) and the four vent hoses that connect to the sides of the airbox.

Anyone has these spare that they would like to let go and post to me?

Addy is PO Box 285, Claremont, WA 6910, Australia. Let me know what you want for them and how much the postage is! PM pls.

Is your a USA bike? Wondering on your VIN # last digits & where they are to my '86? 35680
