1. Hitting 1 or 2 different Rallys. As much as I like meeting up with the old gang at the familiar gigs I only have a limited budget to ride so I'm going to try some new roads and meet new folks. However, I'm going to keep on doing the Buffalo Wings run...met some great people on this ride in 2010 and Duff's wings are awesome!

I'm with ya on hitting up the rides as I would like to hit more weekend rides in Michigan. I have about 20-25 vacation days to use for riding this year so I foresee a few 3-4 day weekends this summer!:eusa_dance:

Hey Brian,
if you ever host a weekend ride in the U.P. / your backyard ... let us know :eusa_dance: I'm sure a few of us "down state" riders would love to ROCK OUT on the beautiful roads of the U.P. for a day with you as our guide. Maybe even hit it big at the casino too :rofl_200:

It's funny you should mention the buffalo wings run. That was one of my resolutions, to go to Duffs for wings with Blaine this year.:clapping:

I was hoping you'd be onboard! That was really good pizza too! Bring on the warm weather!

Jeff, I'll definably think about hosting a event though probably not this year. There are 2 casino's within 5 miles of my house and a couple good roads to ride and attractions to see. :thumbs up:

I only have a few resolutions.

  • Drop a few more lbs
  • study harder in school
  • finish up a few things for the Vmax
  • try to be more patient

That's a good list, KJ! I could ceratinly be more patient. Could also stand to lose a few pounds too (free horsepower)!

I also resolve to set aside a few bucks every payday this winter to help fund a couple of weekend motorcycle trips this coming summer/fall. If I spend anything on mods it'll be for a LOUDER horn...which will help in case I fail in my resolution to be more patient!

Thanks Blaine, I was thinking the other day I need more patience. I've noticed my temper is starting to flare a little more than it used to, thats just not me. I'm a little more mellow than that.

As the weight, although I'm no longer the 430+lb mammoth I was in the picture in Vboost, I'm still not at my goal of my normal weight of 270. Close, but not there yet. I should be close by summer. I sheduled my classes so I can get good gym time in the morning.

Studying harder is a no brainer. I've consistantly pulled A's in all my classes 'cept 1 per semester. Goal is all A's. Not that I'm a perfectionist or anything, its like a game and trying to get a better score.

And the finish up the things for the Vmax is nothing more than adding the digital volt meter I've had on my desk for a while now.

KJ, those are all great goals! Awesome marks too! Nothing wrong with pursuing pefection as long as it doesn't bog you down.

Good luck and Happy New Year!

We need to meet half way some time for a cup of java and a short ride some Sunday... It would be sweet if I can get a group to come to Muskegon for bike time this year. I should be able to make the Paw Paw VMOA event again this year, thunder in the valley is high on my list this season also.:punk:

Ride my beloved '85 Max more than I have in the past 25.5 years. Only 51,000 miles in that amount of time is "neglect". :)

Oh,

and,

add this to my stable:

Sounds like a plan, let's pick out a spot! I'd like to go to Bike Time/ Paw Paw/ Thunder, adding to the already planned Brownie Run/ Spring Icebreaker (busy June for sure). Hopefully work doesn't interfere or other circumstances arise.
You, and others around you might want to look into going to the Spring Icebreaker in Southern Ontario, great time and riding. It's normally first or Second weekend in June.

The roads in Southern Ontario take you past some great scenery. The landscape is very flat and the roads really straight so you can sit back, relax and see for miles.

I've been to Icebreaker last 2 years and have had a blast! This year we found some great roads along water features that had some nice curves and elevation changes. The terrain is much like lower peninsula of Michigan, field after field of farmers crops. The super slab is uninspiring as it is anywhere, traffic is slower than it is in the U.S. though.

Southern Ontario has an average elevation of 300 meters (400 yards) above sea-level which makes it ideal for farming. You can see miles of every type of farm (fruit trees, wineries, livestock, tobacco, etc.) There's even a few twisty roads here and there and the views of Lake Ontario are very nice. Plus, if Icebreaker is held early enough there should be a lot less traffic because school isn't out for summer.

Enjoy!
