Hi everybody!

Does anybody have a size opinion on this tire?
I am looking into running matching 18's F & R.

5.5 inch rear wheel width
3.5 inch front wheel width

Avon Venom R AM42 180/55 ZR18
Dia: 25.80 inches or 655 mm.

Will it's size be close to the stock 15" set up?
I thought stock was about 25.40 inches dia?

Buy my lame ass calculations the Avon is only 3/8 taller.
Any one else?

And what would be a good front to match?
is a 130/70R18 too wide?

I will be notching and bracing the swingarm for clearance.

If it is 3/8 taller that is agood thing for sure. I'd love to do the venture 5th gear swap and the venture pumpkin swap. Damn bike is too nervous at high speeds.

I haven't tried the Avon radials, but when I still used bias ply, I always liked their tires. IMO, I think a 130 is too big for the front, mind you I've never used anything bigger than a 120.

I am considering going with a 18" Sportmax rear with stock 18" front. Is a 170 rear still considered the best size for handling and looks or is a 180 better due to the rim's offset (1/8")?

A 180 is fine... I am running a 180 in back and a 120 on a non stock wheel in front.

Most sport bikes are running 180's or 190's with 120's in front. A larger contact patch is nice on the Max...
