Just bought my 1997 VMAX with 16K miles. Came only with bike cover. Paid ONLY....2.250!!! Very good deal...I think.

Bike runs great now that I had the carbs and motor completely cleaned and dyno tuned.

Happiness and Joy....deep inside my heart. Butt sphincter muscle is holding on for dear life.

bought in fall of 2012, 1997, 16,000 miles stock and very clean $2,800.

Key is the prices really dive in the last of july/ beginning of August on All bikes in Michigan. A month earlier I could not find a V-Max under $4000 and most were $5000. In August I had 4 different bikes (Vmax) all around $3,000 and a forth around $2000.

Acquired 1995 Vmax w/6900 miles May '11 as a straight-up trade for a 2005 Honda Shadow 1100 w/3000 miles. I paid $3,900 for the Shadow and had it for one season before the trade. Vmax was mostly stock except for drag bars & paint. Was in good shape for the year, low mileage was key. Swapped title for title in a Cragslist transaction in MA...believe it or not...

09 bought in 2013--$14500 with 6000 miles, power commander V, monster big air kit, topspeed V1.1, double spring clutch mod, power shifter, TPS ground mod, custom air/fuel ratio gauge, custom exhaust and cat, custom bar end mirrors, quick release seat pins, and all factory recalls done

wrecked the 85 in the early 90's. just recently sold the 89. the 97 is modded to the max. and the 09 is about to receive a few of the otec upgrades!
ive also owned a honda 500 shadow, honda 650 nighthawk, honda 700 nighthawk s, yamaha yzf750 (shoulda kept this one lol) aprilia rsv mille, suzuki gs 750, and a suzuki maurader
