Americade got really expensive, and REALLY boring a few years ago. Crappy service in restaurants that are only interested in chiseling that last dime out of diners, cops all over the place looking to write tickets at the infamous "safety checkpoints", and a smug attitude by a lot of the attendees and organizers turned me off to the event. Thunder is where it's at for us..
