Back to the warmth

I have been on Cape Cod for almost three weeks. Looking forward to the warmth of S.CA. and Baja Norte. The weather here sucks. Cold, rain, snow, overcast. A friend and myself went to Foxwoods yesterday, a casino in CT. I am so not into the casino thing. Empty eyed, hollow people dumping money into machines hoping for a payback. With my motorcycle, every time I ride I have a payback.

I too am not into the casino thing which is probably a good thing because I work in the corporate office for one. :rofl_200:

Southern California... definitely consistent weather there. I was stationed in San Bernadino for two years. I really loved it while I was there. My next assignment was Hawaii for 4 years though -- Loved that even more. :biglaugh:

I see those old folks getting on and off the buses at the mall that haul them for free to the casinos in La.

Getting off they always have that dead, glassy eyed " shorn sheep" look.

Kind of like the lottery which I call "A tax on stupid people" preying on the hopes of those who can least afford it.

No offense to anyone, if you enjoy gambling and can afford it more power to you, no different than any other recreational pursuit in that case.

But they don't keep all those shiny pretty lights turned on for free, its a losing proposition.

My mother in jaw always brags about how much she "won"on this and that now and then, until I ask her how much she lost all those other weekends. She's addicted to catholic charity bingo big time.

My dad had a Gambling problem to the point that some "Guidos" showed up out in West Texas looking for him to pay up some markers he had out, so I'm a little biased to say the least.

Come on Bill, I had my max out Saturday and sunday. Not tomorrow though. Supposed to be low 20's in the AM. I'm headed for florida around Dec 8th. I'll Get my fill of Christmas lights on palm tree's :eusa_dance:
