I just received a new rear from Ron Ayers and my local dealer wants $40 to mount the tire on the rim, that's just the rim I bring in to them.

This seems steep to me what are you guys paying to have a tire mounted?

I paid 36 with no balance...:bang head:

If they do it right and without scratching it, that's not too bad...:thumbs up:

Re: Widest tire on stock rear wheel

Thanks for the info.

Seems when I quit riding about 10 years ago it was much cheaper.

Dealers around here charge $25 to mount and balance on a bare rim (new valve stem included). $30 if they have to break the old one down and install the new tire.

My local Yamastealer charges $18 to mount and balance whether you bring the wheel in or they pull it. Even if you bought the tire somewhere else.
