I am wanting to see pics of your lowered Vmax. I have some 12" progressive rear shocks and a progressive front spring kit to lower 1 or 2 inches. I am thinking of 1" front and rear but want to see what it may look like. Thanks a bunch.

My front forks are lowered about 2" not sure if this is what you wanted pic's of.

How about "home made lowering plates. I now sit flat footed. Ask if you want the templates. The bike sits so low now ,that I have to lean it on an angle to get the floor jack under it.

Lowering looks great.

But I grind pegs in the corners enough with the stock setup.

Ditto on that! I like to go low in the corners with the confidence of not catching some concrete and low siding the bike.

What are the advantages of lowering other than at the drag strip and looks. Anything when it comes to handling?

P.S. I do not have a wobble with my max.

I'd also be worried about any speed bumps too, if those bumps aren't the kind that have a flat spot I could go through.

Wouldn't those raised bumps scratch the crap out of the pipes on the lowered bike?

I have not had any issues with speed bumps, I do make darn sure to slow way down for them though. I think the bike handles/feels better now than it did before but I am hardly a knee dragger, I went down in a corner a few years ago and then didn't ride much afterwards so I am slowly building my confidence back up in the corners.

A couple of my latest shots of the bike. Bear in mind it was all taped up for a ride-out. Ya I'm anal like that... Riding that close to other bikes makes for a sand blasting...

Mines 2" in front and half an inch in the rear.

With the wider tires front and rear this allows it to be be more flickable from side to side.

Great Pics! Thanks and keep'em coming. I think I may go 2" in front and 1" in rear. I do appreciate the cons of lowering too. I'm doing it mainly for looks.

Cheers M8! Not sure about the "art" comment but thanks! I just tried to make a good looking bike better without losing the essence of the vmax along the way.

Tight bikes.. cept for the blue tape..:clapping:

Hey hey... The tank bag mounts there and I had just spent 2 hours correcting the paint. lol
