Metal backing on stock front pads

hey all.

do i take the thin metal backing that has a 'front only' sticker on it off of the front stock pads and put it on the new ebc HH pads or leave it off?

Put them on the new pads.

my fronts didn't have these when i did my pads, are they taht necessary or are they just for chatter?

I left mine off... They are anti squeakers...

have u guys seen this on the rear pads (p/n 17&18) ? i didn't see any on mine but on the oem michrofiche it shows them on the rear, but not on the fronts. odd....

wonder if i should pick up a set for the rear.. probaly not for $5 a piece tho.

i had them on both front and rear pads... moved them over to the new pads and added a thin coat of permatex ultra ceramic brakelube grease... works so nice!! not a peep from the brakes, unless i squeeze a bit hard then i get a tire lock up sound
