I have a badly corroded drain cock assembly (Yamaha part no. 1FK-12560-01-00) that's causing a leak after re-assembly.

I found this one on ebay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-VMX1200-VMAX-V-Max-2WE-Lower-Metal-Water-Pipe-Drain-/310646307089

But at that price, I'm wondering if it would be better to get a new one if it's available. Does anybody know if it's possible to source that part brand new (ideally in the UK)? I'll call my pet parts centre in the morning, but looking for anybody's input on it before then. Any thoughts on the condition of that part?

(In comparison, I found this on ebay US for $8.99, but it looks like it's missing the actual drain cock:)

or you can replace the 0-rings in the old one. pretty easy

Do you mean the small curved hose is missing? That is all I see missing from the assembly. :confused2:

No, the plug itself. The plastic bit seems to be missing. Anyway, looks like the price of a new one isn't /too/ painful, compared to a shabby looking used one on ebay, so I'll do that. I guess small parts like this will tend to be better to get OEM. Rust in the UK is such a problem it would be hard to find a really clean one from a bike that's been broken.
