Always wanted a TA in school but couldn't afford one. All the well off
kids had one and I rode a Dirt bike or walked. Told myself one day
I'd get one. Now I have an 81 with t-tops, 350, posi and 4 spd.

Green light meaning green light and blitz being the original word in German for lightning,So thats where you get the phrase BLITZ-KRIEG wich meant lighning warefare...now the word blitz is used for football typically and when finding the definition of blitz it usually says somthing like "any swift, vigorous attack, barrage, or defeat: a blitz" and is also a common military word.But enough with the history lesson...For me it just means Green Light Lightning,Im gone in a flash!LMAO

I put a Ls1 in my 81 z28 so used that for my LS1Tech.com forum name, now I use it for my dieselplace name and here too.
SpecOps13 / SpecOps-13 / SpecOpS-13, Different forms on different forums, You get the general Idea.
In 1972, I was trained to perform a mission in South East Asia. Set up long term electronic surveillance of Ho-Chi Mihn Trail in prep for the potential Operation Linebacker II. We had troops from most branches of the service involved. Quad redundancy of the Mission Specialists. It was that important. This could be a very long story but here's the short version. Of the 13 Mission Specialists sent in, only I came out. 13 because we had 4 squads, 4 per squad with one spare in case of whatever. All of us did go in. We also lost all but 2 of the Special Forces that were tasked with getting us in and out and all the native guides were killed. Of 32 U.S. Servicemen we lost 29. Since I'm the only one of 13 Mission Specialists to remain alive, I became SpecOps13 in honor of the other 12 who never came home.
Edited to correct numbers: My math is getting shakier with age, 4 Mission Specialists in my squad, The other 3 squads had 3 each. Numbers work out to 13 that way.:hammer bash: I read this several times before I posted it too.
Oh, BTW, we were officially never there and everything I just told you officially never happened. We did however assist in the deaths of nearly 100,000 Communist troops during Linebacker II.:sad2:

Everyone is welcome, Just doing my job while I was there.
For a while, I was concerned about what our Government would do if I did anything in their memory. Currently, I'm working on a few things that may have military applications and hope to apply the name on those items "SpecOps-13". I also attend the rides that I can with The Patriot Guard, paying respect to those who serve and or die for our ideals now. I have acted as a body guard for the Families at times to block protesters. It's sad that we need to do that in our own country.

it's an 85, so thinking it's an early number. my understanding is the vin #'s started at 101, so my bike is the 1038th vmax made:clapping:

I was talkin to a stealership parts guy:bang head:,tellin him I didnt think the max was all that fast.:confused2:he says to me "ya gotta twist it" I said "i do twist it"and proceeded to leave the parkin lot in a cloud of smoke,:biglaugh:my buddy rides up along side me and says that was twistedmax
