I can get it to go all the way right but when i try to go all the way left it bind's. Anyone have pic's. I bought it from Kyle and he said it came off a vmax but he dont remember how to put it back on. Kyle said it should bolt on without customizing. I have about 3 hours into it and unless i can get some good pic's or something i give up.

they fit. just takes a while.

does this help?

Garrett, way to go, once again to help us!

Looks to me like the frame clamp is way too-far back, it should be up-close to the front. I bet that alone is the source of the binding.

the pictures aren't realy to scale. the biggest issues i see is it looks like the fork clamp is at 90 to the triple trees and that its much lower than the 8-10mm suggested.

once you get the binding taken care of (if i put my bike all tye way to the left it hits a tiny bit, say maybe 1mm before it hits the stop, which is ok in my book) make sure you put the left scoop on to make sure of clearance before you button it all up.

I have it right and i was close one time. But it hit before i got to the stop on the left. you can only put the rear bracket in one spot do to the way the frame is so i know its the same. when i got it everything was tighten up so i thought thats should be left alone. but i can see that the rear bracket needs to go forward on the unit. (25mm-30mm) from end.

I had mine on without hitting or binding anywhere, it takes a lot of playing around with the "rotation" setting of the fork clamp, and where the damper sits in the frame clamp before tightening down the clamp around the damper...

I did have to customize, had to cut some plastic of the black plastic neck cover......don't remember if that was in the directions or not...

I will take some pictures and post for you tonight. Mine works perfect.

Here are some pics of mine showing centered then to both right and left full frame stops. I have no binding and the dampener works really well (7 stiffness settings).

Note the only trimming I had to do was a tiny groove on the black plastic cover between the instrument cowl and the scoops. I hope this helps. Note my locations and attachment points as how they are aligned is significantly different than yours.

Hope this helps!

I have a question's about the damper. Do i need to grease it ? Look's like it has grease fitting's. also what will all the way stiff do for me. I have it just a little stiff and it works good. Im thinking all the way stiff is for stright line high speed drag racing.

mine doesn't have grease fittings but the stiffest on mine is not able to be used on anything but highway as trying to turn at low speeds makes me look like its the 2nd day on the bike

That must be a pretty taunt setting if you're having trouble turning the handlebars G!!!!:surprise::surprise:
