I am going to paint my side covers. Right now they are aluminum on top and black on the bottom. I'm going to paint the black part aluminum. Is the factory aluminum paint color pretty much the same as a spray can aluminum, or is it different. I also got to thinking the color might be called...

Tire letter paint! Quick n easy

Because people asked - I shall answer :) Like the original look of the white lettered Dunlop Qualifiers that came on the Max at some point in it's history? I sure did - as it really gives it that "muscle car" look. I was asked by three separate people this weekend at the bike show how I did...

    Engine paint

My 95 Vmax has glossy black on all the engine surfaces except the heads which are black wrinkle paint. I was told by the 2nd owner (I'm #3) that the engine had performance work done by the 1st owner. Maybe the heads were removed for modification & repainted?? Randy in Phoenix, Az.

    best paint stripper?

I'd like to polish my scoops up but first I need to remove the black paint. Tried a product called "Strypeze" (a paint on gel) but all it did was loosen some of the clearcoat. Need something more powerful but safe for aluminum. Suggestions?

    Prepping a car for paint

Where I live, a tornado blew through a month or two back and a bunch of limbs fell on my car. Scratched it to all hell. Thankfully, it didn't damage the convertible top or any windows. So....the insurance company cuts me a check for WAY LESS than any body shop is quoting me for a full paintjob...

    Custom paint in Ontario...

I got quoted 900 bones for a Viper blue w/ white twin racing stripes. Does that seem reasonable? Never really been into custom painting with any vehicle I've owned, so I don't really know what to expect, but I do know paint is never cheap, and you get what you pay for.. ________ Ford Motor...

    09 Paint

Just in case you have an 09, or getting one, the paint is pretty soft, if you haven't noticed by now. They might of put a lot of flex in it. Been starting to put on the Turtle Wax. If you plan on keeping the stock paint, might want to find something to protect it from scratching easily.
