110 race fuel

I mixed some 110 octane race fuel into my max today. Does anyone know if this will hurt anything ? It feels a little crisper.

My max runs better and gets better mileage on 87 octane than it does on 93.

Higher octane is useless in these bikes unless you are running high degrees of advance or very high compression ratios.

+1, most power is made while running lowest octane possible without detonation. Search for fuel, there are a ton of threads on the topic.

I use Sunoco 110 in my max...Feels like I have more roll on power but I mostly do it to clear out my motor and get the yummy smell of that stuff embeded in the fiber glass of my HOLE SHOTS(for the next several tanks of gas it still smells like youre running it even if your not).I usually dilute it a bit but having run it almost completely strait it has not done any damage to my own.I do it now and again when Im feeling like making peoples eyes water with my exhaust fumes but dont run it all the time or even "often" so going beyond once in a while I cant honestly say I know.

I used to run NOS108 octane booster in my bike (a pretty good shot of it)
I too thought that it was an energy drink for the bike but the guys here are right !!
I now run 87 or 89 (mostly 87 ) octane with no energy drink LOL.
Cause I got tired of changing plugs and I don`t run it like I used to anymore.
I used to have the timing advance mod but I disconnected it.

I think the octane boosters raise octane less than a point.

Octane SLOWS the burn rate, it doesn't add power.

If your not fighting detonation issues then higher octane = LESS horsepower

Period.


Yes race gas smells really cool...gotta admit..

If they made it in a perfume I'd force my wife to wear it.....

there REAlly should be an option for ethanol.......


if they can mix super a nd reg to get plus....

then why not add the ethanol at the pump and give us a choice:ummm:unk:
