Does anyone know where I can get the Chrome caps that cover
the rubbers on the top of the forks. Also the smaller ones
that cover the allen heads on the side of the triple trees.
One of the top ones was missing when I got the bike and I
kinda mangled the ones on the triple trees when changing my seals.
What is the best way to get these off without killing them ?
Thanks

Covers the rubbers??? I'm lost... As for the allen? headed bolts I bought all of mine from J&P Cycles. Mine are black but they make a ton of colors.

i think he just meant the chrome caps that cover the air valve thingy

Mike Sayers has 2 different size cap covers for allen head fasteners, look near the bottom of the page for the caps. He also carries a nice assortment of SS fasteners specifically sized for our Vmax's.
It's a easy way to mod your Vmax so you don't have to put up with the bland looking stock parts.
Mod your Vmax to make your Vmax better! Must Mod Max!:punk:

Yea the caps on top of the fork that you pop off when
pulling the lrg. allen head caps to add oil. Not integral
to the fork just looks better with both chrome.
Danny not sure if my 89 and the 06 are the same as the
fork diameter is different. I'd be willing to give it a try
and return it to you if it wont fit though. I'll PM you
shortly.
Thanks everyone,
Chris

Chris, here's a couple pics of the fork cap we were discussing....it has female threads in the small center hole that thread over the air valve. I got it all ready to mail if you think it'll fit.

Say the word and it's on the way.
