General carb question

I have a general, NON Max related carb question for the experts here.
Tearing down a set of Mikunis from my parts bike for the FZR project. Just wondering will PB Blaster harm anything on carbs? I have some stubborn screws on the float bowl side of this set.

I wouldn't think so. Remember to cover your eyes when 'Blasting' - not sure about PB, but Berryman B12 can cause serious eye damage (don't ask).

I would try to avoid the diaphragms if possible....might not react well with the material

I used it everywhere on Max carbs with no ill effects to diaphragms but always better to err on side of caution


When in doubt...Gas it !!!

I would remove any rubber parts, o-rings, gaskets, etc.
