well its finally here, looks like i can get this thing installed before thunder!! I got my new gaskets from Morley already. can i leave the jetting stock with stock airbox for now until i get money for a jet kit and filter? or is it absolutely essential that i change the filter and jets at the same time?

i think mark says just to shim the needles and set the a/f screws and be on your way.

+1 to what Garrett says.
That is the rec'd setup if you are not going with a jet kit like stg7 or morleys.

I ran my marks 4-2 with no carb changes for awhile. it ran fine. I noticed some popping on decel and coasting. But, I didn't wait too long before I installed a full jet kit.

Mine runs fine with no changes, except for a K&N filter. I picked up 9 hp over my kerker and it runs a little rich at 12to1 A/F. Ratio. Enjoy, Rand.

Need Pictures of that 4-1 set up, I may put one on the 89.....

Thanx in Advance...

Man, that is Wicked Cool....:clapping::biglaugh::clapping:

Thanx for the great pictures.....

When did he start doing a 4-2-1?

I thought all he did was 4-2 with crossover...

Looks really sweet!:punk:

I need to get mine jet hot coated, I'm freaking tired of polishing...:bang head:

For as long as I can remember... A little fact some don't know about Mark, is he was on the development/engineering team for Kerker, when the Kerker Vmax system was made.

If I lived out there and had a Gen II I would take it to him. He wants one to develop a system for it.

Chris

I have the Mark's 4-2 and it took me a while to get used to the new melody - I LUV IT.
This looks shortie 4-1, it is going to be LOUD - man you are going to enjoy its acceleration note, and deceleration note too :D
Post a video after installation..

Enjoy i am really happy with my 4 2 1 system as well cant wait to get some miles on it. I did post a couple of pics under pcw1500 motor with morley chrome.

:tantrum::tantrum: i am jelous.... i want one for my bike too....
it looks awesome and you must definetely post a video for us to know how it sounds like.

i am going to post a few videos of it upon install.

1) modified stock
2) open stock header
3) full system video with the 12" can installed

mark said it's gonna be REAL LOUD with the 12" can and 2 1/4" outlet. i am glad i got the turn down tip...

I am glad i went with the Marks since his is the only 4-2-1 system that you can retain your center stand.

i am probably gonna start tear down this weekend. i gotta clear a nice wide open spot in the basement to work on it. ohhh baby i am as excited as a school girl on prom night!!!

Cool:punk:

I've seen about a dozen Marks systems and they were all the 4-2 with crossover, didn't know about this one:ummm:

Bet it sounds great..

Pretty sweet, although I think a true 4-1, with all 4 pipes hitting one collector, would be better, but all those I've seen have ground clearance issues......
