I've been trying to research the rs rearend swap for the vmax rearend all over this forum. My interest has been up ever since I read the first post about it. Hope you guys aren't tired of answering questions about it because I have a couple. From what I've read it's a direct swap, if it's a newer one just have to drill and tap for the shock stud , correct? And plug the hole for the speed sensor? Do you reuse the vmax drive shaft? Or use a rs drive shaft? Are there any other parts you have to buy for the swap? Thanks in advance for any advice, and hope I'm not beating a subject to death here. John

Yes it is a direct swap
If you have to drill and tap the shock mount
Re use the Max drive shaft
When I had mine I just cut the cable for the speed sensor and left it in place.

I even succed with converting the old type venture drive pumpkin but, I end with some machining and custom lenght shaft and custom shock bracket.
