    Avon Owner for Life

My tire life was just fine, but I put new front and back on just because. In back went an Avon AV72 (200-55/r18 as I recall). Monday (while it was 93 out), I picked up a nail and found myself baking by the side of the interstate. Long story short, I call Avon sales and they tell me every...

    Life's Hard Sometimes

Tough days. I will NEVER say that my trials are more than anyone else's here. I know some of y'all have endured divorce, loss of job, etc. I heard a preacher once say about someone enduring difficulty, to be careful not to criticize, because one day the Devil might find YOUR address. I've...

    Coming back to life!

Thanks to all the posters on this forum, their information, and assorted parts / services for helping me bring my 1993 Vmax back to the road. I bought it new in late 1992 over a satellite relay call from NCTAMS MED Naples, Italy to Ohio. I had it shipped over in my personal goods which consisted...

Life has consequences, she learned the hard way"it's not about me"

Someone needs an attitude adjustment to make it in the workday world. http://nypost.com/2016/02/24/yelp-was-right-to-fire-the-entitled-millennial-who-whined-about-her-salary-online/ Memo to Millennials: Corporate America doesn’t want to have a “dialogue” about your “concerns.” Being an...

Breath life back into a 97 VMAX

My father and I have acquired a 1997 VMAX that we were told had an issue with the oil pump or oil pressure. We have begun to dive into inspecting the bike and seeing what is going on with it to determine the best course of action to get it back on the road. According to the seller, the...

Sometimes life has a way of keeping me in check...

I was walking into the work break room. Getting myself a cup of coffee and this commercial came on: http://ispot.tv/a/76PQ I got choked up. Fought back the tears. Because I know Dennis and I know this commercial doesn't even scratch the surface of the struggles this man and his family has gone...

How do I breath life back into my 1992?

Hi, Everyone. I spent the last 5 years overseas and downrange. My 1992 Vmax spent a great deal of that exposed to the elements in Tennessee. A family member was going to keep it in a garage, but I guess that didn't last long. I have the bike back now. Where do I even begin to restore. It was...

A life lesson played out for me Saturday...

It's a lesson we've all heard a 1,000 times. If life hands you lemons, make lemonade. Or if things don't go according to plan, make the most of the deviation. It was a beautiful day in St. Louis Saturday. I was going to make the most of it and get as much riding as I could after I got a...

    Leaving the Motorcycle Life

After over a year of dwelling over the situation I have made the final decision to give up riding. Alot of different factors have played a major role in guiding me to this decision. I sold my Warrior last year and held on to the Max just incase I decided to keep riding but the time has come...

SOMETHING TO PONDER: George Carlin George Carlin's wife died early in 2008 and George followed her, dying in July 2008. It is ironic George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - could write something so very eloquent and so very appropr...iate. An observation by George Carlin: The paradox...

    Rotor Life Span

I recently got my first V-Max. An 03 all stock with only 11000KM on it. Bike is like new. I have a pulsing in both the front and rear brakes. Just wondering if the rotors could be already warped? I am the 3rd owner of the bike and both previous owners were 60+ year old riders who never rode the...

    NRA Life Membership $300 Promotion

Well the NRA decided to bring back the life membership promotion, it is currently active and is rumored to remain a promotion through March 21, 2013. Questions about bringing an 85 back to life...

Let me preface this by saying this sight is great and I've found a lot of useful information so far! OK, so here's my situation.... 85 vmax that's been sitting for 8-12 years. The good? It's been garage kept this entire time AND it's free (it was my Dad's, he doesn't ride anymore). I know this...
