Front fork springs help please guys !

I have bought some progressive springs to replace the original ones. Can someone please let me know the procedure and wether or not I have to drop the forks or can I install them by just gaining access from the top etc.

Do your forks have the oil drain screw on the bottom?Make sure that you support the front of the bike,jack or blocks.If you open both forks up it will fall.

yes my forks have the drain screws on them - so is it possible to change the springs from the top ??

Yes, you can. Remove the cap, then the fork cap bolt underneath. Be careful, the cap's under pressure so put some weight on it while loosening.

Drain the oil and compress the forks several times to get all the oil out.

After you get the cap off, there's a spacer, a spring seat (washer) and then the spring. Use a magnet or a close hanger to help pull everything out.
