finally figured out a decent looking spot to mount my switch to.just bent some .062 aluminum from work into an angle,notched it and rolled the ends around and tack welded in place,primed and painted and there it is.i bolted it in place with the lower two bar clamp bolts.

That's cool man. I have the same project idea pending.
Already got the switches (same than yours) and planning to do the same in the coming weeks since I received my pc-8 from Eastern Beaver.
I'm planning to put headlight, fan, warning light switches there.
How many switches are you able to fit in ?
 
Probably could squeeze 3 switches the size shown but in the middle is the steering head nut which might cause some clearance issues.if u were to go with narrower switches u could probably easily put 4 in there.I only plan on 2 max or maybe mount a clock or an LED battery voltage readout
