Thanks for the reply's, but what I wound up doing was going with an '88 virago grab bar. Found in some of the posts that it fits well in the place of the oem style sissy bar, and it does!! I have lacquered and clear coated the whole grab bar assembly black to match the frame.

Do you have any OEM sissy bars? The one I currently have is a wild fabrication my dad made, and it looks, uhh, unattractive.
