After the finish of the Iron Dog race, the Tired Iron festivities start, they are a party on the river.
The Tired Iron is a snowmachine race with vintage snowmachines. Its wicked cool and fun for all ages. The older gent on the white sled holds the record for the oldest racer at 93-years-young.
There is plenty of things to do and see. Bowling with your kids as they get shot from a giant rubber band while riding on a inner tube.

Great sleds! I had a 72 artic cat panther, a 80 john deere spitfire 340, and a 80 artic cat trail cat 440. The John deere was the best out of all of them, that 340 kohler was a strong runner!

That took me back. Those were the sleds when we rode as kids. We had Rupps, but alot of guys here had artic cat and skidoos. I saw an old kawaski in the group. I was running wide open side by side with a friend that had a kawaski. I'm guessing we were doing around 55 when his ski broke off. I didn't get to see all the tumbling moves he made, but I did get to help pick up the pieces of the sled, and drag it to the road. He was OK just beat up a little.

Way cool indeed!...........I like the style of the vintage sleds, seems I've owned just about every make over the years, my faves were the John Deers too, had a couple of 80 440s, a Trailfire two up and a Sportfire, also had an 83 Snowfire 340 which I think was the last year of the production Deeres, their Kawasaki engines were very dependable..................Looks like a lot of fun up there!........................Tom.

Cool KJ.

Talked to my Son yesterday, they were going to the Army Base Snow Boarding....

You have to love them old sleds eh Brian?

Cool Dave, its nice and sunny 6* outside. Birch Hill should have some great runs today, we got some new snow over the past few days so the ski runs should be sweet.
