Where am I? Oh, right here...
Well guys and galls, after 2 months of spending couple of hours per day, thinking, calculating, simulating, planning, welding, machining and whatever you can imagine, I represent you: the monoshock LOL

Its still need some final care but its works!
Its almost bolt on besides a welding the swingarm and i have ajustable
height suspension. About +/- 40mm of height.

Also swingarm went to SUPERBRACE mode and BTW i went with soild rear caliper
mounting and front v-max rotor.

At one picture mine battery relocation is visible.

At the end new silicone hoses from Sean and new headlight setup from Louis(Thanks Michael)

Feedback welcome :D

hey Przemek, happy to see the result :)
I'm jealous it looks even better on yours with that fork hehe.

I cannot wait the result, it seems your good for an extreme make over...
The monoshock is just wow !!!!!
Why did you need to relocate the battery ?

Thanks guys! :punk:

Michael:
Monoshock do not require the battery relocation but, mine notched gas tank project do :D
Still in progress.

As for the headlight. I have a lot of space there, that setup was created to streetfighter tuners. Its not a friendly instalation setup, what you will machine is what you will get at the result ;)

You will not find much space in the stock tripple tress but when I saw Your
mod then I wanted that setup badly :D
Thanks to You i have that headlight :punk:
At last I have a bad ass looking, bad ass strong lighting headlight.

Prez, you are what we call here in the States "SICK" which is a good thing! You have a creative mind and the skills to match. See if you can reroute the rear brake line and speedo pick up wire. Maybe behind the swing arm if there is room? Awesome, just awesome!:clapping:

Przemek,

Love the monoshock approach on your VMax ! :thumbs up:
I remember when Yamaha came out with the monoshock dirt bikes like the 360 & TT500 in the mid-70's; they were AWSOME ! No matter what height you jump from, all you had to do was land the rear wheel first with the monoshock bikes for the softest landing ever. Loved it !

Don't expect you be jumping your VMax anytime soon, but the ride - I expect - should be fantastic on the road ! You've got to report back to us on how the monoshock preforms. Great Job !

Sounds like there's a an extension of the fuel capacity too, nice :)
Last time I saw a mono shock it was one of those amazing 300 tire kit from exactrep.

I'm pretty sure that bike will give inspiration to many :)

Thank you, im taking it like a compliment :)

Theres a lot of space on the other side of swingarm, still need to
figure out some things.

Its still needs some final care and some serious testings.
It works fine even with passanger but i've done only the garage testings.

Most defo will post the results. I will propably end with harder spring which is not a big deal

And i was inspired by Otec with thier 330 conversion.
Actually I have diffrent linkage.

I've even tried to figure out thier way.
It looks like they have a very short shock travel, about 30mm which is not
a good idea but only way to put that big tyre without gringing the rear fender.
Its sweet setup but completly unusable on street.
Only for good looking.

In mine setup I have 90mm of swingarm travel with 60mm of shock travel.

wow Przemek, you rock! Love the mod. Amazing! Ground clearance still good on the left?
Thanks G.

Well it was the most hard thing to do, making the right cushion lever and still have the nice ground clearance.

Its almost stock clearnace, you will grind the cushion lever by the same time
you will grind the kickstand.

But nothing for free, this setup requires single muffler on the right and
geting rid of the central stand.

Its not the hard thing to fabricate even 330 fat tyre, but making this still usable on the street is completly diffrent idea.
I saw dozen of mods with swingarm, fat tyres and the other miracles.
But 90% of them where fabricated only for "swank" looking.
Its completly no use on the corners couse you will grind something from the bike or you will grind your body after crash, while hard cornering if its possible.

V-max is a bitch with any mods, like Gary said once: nothig easy with this bike.
No space for simple exhaust, no space for monoshock either. :confused2:

Satariel,

Very very very nice outcome on your winter project. I like your new battery location, I have been contemplating the same thing. Very nice work and innovation on getting the horizontal shock application to work on the Vmax. I might have to try that myself. Or are you willing to sell the bracketry for something like this?

Gannon

Thx

I have an complete CAD documentation for this project and its possible
that i may machine more sets like this.

Cant tell for sure, first let me test this like it should be. Like always
some problems may happen.
Evrything looks and works fine, but in the garage.
I will post the results asap.

Rode some miles today, monoshock works preatty good.
Some things still need to be done but im happy with this mod.
10 times better then stock shocks.

Forgot to shot the pic with my new storage space under the passanger seat.
P. seat is openable, some useful space there.

Heres how my v-max is look like, for now.

Words that come to mind when looking at your Vmax Przemek: Clean, functional, well thoughtout, muscle bike, great paint, innovative.
I really like your thought process and how you were able to carry your idea to fruition. The front end looks like it came from the factory made especially for the Vmax!:punk:
Great job man!:thumbs up: :thumbs up:
