i thought it would be cool to start a thread where you post a few pics. one or two of your bike when you got her. and one or two of it now. we always see updated pics but its kinda cool to see how they started off. i don't have an updated version of mine or i'd go first, but i'd love to see others!

I first picked mine up in 2007 and the biggest visual things I see different are new paint, seat, exhaust and windscreen.
2007 pictures:


Looking closer I see a whole host of changes that have really made a difference in how the bike performs, rides and feels.

Fast forward to 2010 and the transformation is very apparent.
Current pictures:


Still a few more changes to go, that damn furry little bastard is still crawling around in my head!

I wonder what will finally be the reason that he quits infecting my brain?

Highly unlikely.

mine, bought it and took it completely apart, got all the kansas dust out of it and had it painted. i didnt like the sticker stripes only being on the tank cover so i had em done with real paint all the way down, go big, or go home

Well here is my 99 with 3 of the 8 diffrent paint jobs it had in 5 years. My pc that had my pics of my 85 ,86 & 88 & the 99 when it was original on it crashed & I had no backup:bang head: I did manage to find one picture of the 86 after I blacked it all out.

Here is an 89 that was brought to me yesterday this is the now pictures. I am fixing to totally redoe it for the customer & will post the after pictures in 3-4 weeks.

Mine was brand new from the dealer so it looked 110% stock when I got it.

It's a 2006...

First one is my SV with my Max as stock as I have a picture of it here at work
second is as it sits now.

Then SV stock brand new and then as it sits now. Harder to see what I've done to the SV.

First pic is Sept '08, about one month after I got it, and pretty much as it was other than the Spitfire windshield which I added.

Second pic is late '09, and that's pretty much how the bike ended up being until I sold it.

Don't have any pictures of Toxic when I first bought her, but I can start pretty close to the beginning when the only mods were paint and some bling before I swore off the stuff. When I looked at the pics I could find it was shocking the transformation, nah that Monkey had me by the short and curlies a long time ago!!!! Know I skipped a couple of steps in there, but you get the picture.

when did the engine work get done?

This is when I first met Toxic, early fall 2008 on Manitoulin Island. I still had scary brakes and stock exhaust. I believe the 1428 motor work was done during winter 2008.
