I've got two stock springs and one PCW spring on hand.

Been running the Double D, I've broken two driveshafts since installing it, and one trashed tranny although I can't say Double D was the cause of course.

I'm leaning forwards running the PCW spring, got a crap load of money in this so far don't and want to break it.

The motor is a stroker 1539cc 13:1 compression, stock heads with 03 megacycle cams (biggest you can run without spending big bucks for shim under bucket) and springs. I'm expecting about 165-170hp and torque in the 110-115 range.

PCW is supposed to be 50% stronger than stock.
It measuress 0.072 thick versus the stockers at 0.063

One way or the other I'm using what I have and not buying anything, so some combo of these is going in there.

Opinions?

I personally like the PCW spring its inbetween the double dd & stock. Does not kill your hand & seems to hold up really well. I had over 50,000 miles on stock plates & PCW spring & many passes down the dragstrip. That was on my 99 it was still going strong when I sold it.

When I picked up the PCW clutch kit Brendon told me that it was designed to be 50% stronger than stock, with a corresponding 50% increase in lever effort. Said stock was 8lbs and their spring was around 12lbs to fully depress the stock cylinder's lever. Said they install it in their big bore builds without any slipping issues.

I like it, not too tiring in traffic and holds well. Has a stock "feel", I've heard a few people say the DD can be a bit "grabby" in engaging and a bit harder to control smoothly.

I used the PCW,

Here what I got so far in the last three days

Since you have both I'd start out with the PCW one. If it holds, great. If not, you could always switch over to the DD for the cost of a gasket.

Rusty I say go big or go home, use all 3!

Thanks Davidon and Rusty! :worthy:
I'm going to be tearing into my engine pretty soon to fix 2nd gear and this will help tremendously!

Here's a lead I found in one of the "old" threads
Damon is on the VMOA site and post all the time. I'd message him if I were you. He did a great job making the video.
Steve-o

apparently he's a member here as well.

I installed the PCW spring over the winter. Since I wasn't riding, when I did get the bike out, It didn't feel any different that the stock spring as far as pull. Big difference in grab though.:punk:
